We start by finding out exactly where they stand

A lot of students arrive having covered the content but still not hitting the marks they should be. The issue is rarely effort. More often it's a gap from earlier in the course, a misunderstanding that's quietly undermining everything built on top of it, or exam technique that doesn't reflect what they actually know. Before anything else, I run a short diagnostic to get a clear picture of all of that. That picture shapes everything that follows. So from the very first proper session, we're working on the right things, in the right order, for them specifically.

Diagnose & Clarify

I identify exactly where knowledge gaps exist by pinpointing the Year 12 foundations that are undermining Year 13 performance.

Build a targeted strategy

Once I know where the gaps are and a plan is put together which is specific to that student. Not a generic revision list. A session-by-session structure built around their weak points, their exam board and how much time they have left before their exams. Every session has a purpose and nothing is wasted on content they've already mastered.

Build a Strong Foundation

I simplify complex topics using visual breakdowns, memory tricks, and exam-focused practice, helping students build deep understanding without endless memorisation.

Master Exam Technique

As a Current Examiner, I teach students exactly how marks are awarded. They learn to break down complex questions, structure answers for full marks, and think like an examiner. Confidence comes from knowing exactly what to expect.

Progress with Confidence

Regular feedback and visible grade improvement keep both students and parents informed at every stage. Students enter exams knowing exactly what to expect and how to perform under pressure.

Who I Support

Do any of these sound familiar?

01

Knowledge doesn't translate into marks

Your child understands the content in class but freezes when applying it under exam conditions.
We build deep, transferable understanding, not surface memorisation.

02

Losing marks on exam technique

Your child knows the chemistry but can't always turn that into marks.
We teach you to think like an examiner, using mark schemes and structuring answers precisely.

03

No clear revision strategy

Your child does not know where to start.
We build a structured plan around your specific gaps using spaced repetition, retrieval practice, and examiner insights.

04

Parents want to see real progress

You want to know your investment will have a positive return.
We keep parents updated at every stage with honest, clear progress reports.

How tutoring works

All sessions are delivered online, one-to-one or in small groups and built around your child's specific gaps and exam board. No generic revision. No wasted sessions. Just focused, examiner-led tuition that moves them forward.

Working with international families

I work with students studying UK Chemistry curricula from outside the UK, including families in China, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Whether your child is preparing for UK A-Level or iGCSE exams, or applying to enter a British independent school, I can support them wherever you are. Sessions are scheduled to suit your time zone. All materials are provided in English and I have particular experience supporting students who are navigating the language demands of UK exam questions alongside the chemistry itself. If you are based outside the UK and would like to discuss your child's needs before booking, please get in touch.
